This well-made Scoop shaped pipe by French pipe maker Jeantet started its life a as leather-wrapped pipe but a crack in the shank required banding, so I rusticated and refinished the briar in a classic black-over red colour scheme.
The pipe is well drilled and was gently used prior to its restoration. The new, craggy rustication looks good and feels even better in the hand, while the wide saddle stem and thick chamber walls promise hours of cool, comfortable smoke rings for its next pipe steward.
Pipe measures 5-1/4″ long overall. Bowl stands 1-1/2″ tall by 1-1/2″ wide with a chamber bore of approximately 7/8″ in diameter.
