You don’t often see a pipe that predates the Second World War in this condition! This Yello-Bole Century 9392 hexagonal billiard is as close to minty as an 80-plus year old briar can get, showing just one spot of rim darkening at the 10 o’clock position.
There are a few noticeable fills in the briar (otherwise this pipe would have been sold as a Kaywoodie) along with some truly lovely Crossgrain and Birdseye. The stamps on both sides of the shank and the stem logo are in excellent, clear, crisp condition.
Stamps read “Yello-Bole” over “Century” over “Genuine Briar” and “9392”. The stem is stamped with the Yello-Bole “Bullseye” logo.
Pipe measures 5-1/4″ long. Bowl stands 1-5/8″ tall and 1-1/8″ wide. Chamber bore is 3/4″.
