It’s DadsPipes First Anniversary!

Hi everyone! It was a little over twelve months ago that I uploaded the very first post to DadsPipes, which has proven to be the Little Blog That Could. Since then it has racked up 120 posts (this one is #121) and over 35,000 views!

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read the blog, post comments and feedback, and share their pipe stories with me. I’m constantly amazed at the global reach of this little online diary, and by the people I meet through it. Thanks also to those of you who felt confident enough to mail a total stranger your prized pipes for repair or restoration. Nothing on this blog would be possible without the pipes, and in an environment rife with cyber-scams, I am honoured by your trust.

For all of these reasons and more, I have been busy making several improvements to the DadsPipes Store!

First off, Pipes are now organized by Country of Origin, which should make browsing for that next pipe a little easier. Inventory is also now searchable so if you’re looking for a specific pipe, you can narrow down the hunt quickly and easily. I’ve listed several “new” estate pipes this week as well, so pop by and have a look!

I’ve also added a new category of products to the Store – Pipe Racks & Accessories! Like the estate pipes, these racks and stands are previously enjoyed but completely serviceable (and priced well below retail). Some components (like tobacco jars/humidors) may be non-original, and will be identified as such in the listings.

These small changes are aimed at making your DadsPipes experience a little easier, but they’re not much of a Thank You on their own, so I’m also announcing the DadsPipes.com Anniversary Sale! (And no, you don’t have to buy the matching loveseat.)
